Another punch packed actioner from your friends, the Ong Bak team. This one stars “Chocolate” star JeeJa Yanin. She’s dope no doubt but the movie falls a bit short of the discerning martial arts movie fan expectations.

The plot revolves around a disillusioned rich girl (Yanin) who possesses a special scent…No, I’m serious (and it gets even more insane). Young girls are being kidnapped for their special tears which have healing properties (told you it got more insane…but that’s not it) and are being sold on the black market, and yes, it’s actually weirder than it sounds.

A group of avenging B-boys (yeah…that kind of b-boy) are hunting the kidnappers in hopes of finding the women in their lives who were snatched from right out under them. They use Deu (Yanin) who they tail until she herself gets snatched, they rescue her and she eventually becomes part the “crew”, learning their unique blend of B-boy-ing & Thai-Boxing. An odd combination but entertaining nonetheless.

The real problem with this flick: They didn’t take it far enough, as thin and crazy as the plot is, and it’s pretty frickin’ thin, I was definitely expecting more and better action from this one. I’m not saying it sucked, but it was just not as good as “Chocolate”…And someone please tell me what the Thai fascination with trannies is all about…I really have to know if the main villain was actually a tranny or if she’s just a chick that LOOKS kind of man-ish.

With its paper thin plot, lacking action and a “final” fight that takes waaaay too long this movie left me a little disappointed. All in all, it’s worth a peek for the break-dance/Thai-Boxing spectacle but it gets old fast. Check it out if you like, but I’ve seen better, and I bet you have too.
