Hey people, if you happened to purchase a new copy of Darksiders you probably noticed that grey sheet of paper with the big DO NOT DISCARD on the front. Well low and behold that secret code on the paper is redeemable for a free copy of Red Faction: Guerrilla and a digital art book for Darksiders. If you happened to buy the game used you’re pretty much assed out. If you bought the game new and lost the sheet you can still claim your game you’ll just need a copy of your receipt from the purchase of your game. Oh, there is a $4.99 shipping and handling fee but you still end up getting a $20 game and a digital art book for 5 bucs hell, even Gamestop would probably give you 6 bucs trade in…before selling it for $18.99 lol

On a side note I’m really digging the creative ways publishers are trying to curb all the video game trade ins. I don’t have a problem with the concept of trading used but Gamestop is pretty horrendous with the trade in value…buy a game the week it comes out, beat it and trade it in…you may get $25 back. Before you walk out the door they have it on the shelf for $54.99 WTF! if people aren’t so quick to trade games in maybe they’ll be forced to give better value to the consumer, that’s a good thing in my book.
